Leonardo da Vinci (Fiumicino) is the main airport and it is about 15 miles from the city centre. The city centre is easy to reach
- FROM FIUMICINO AIRPORT BY TRAIN:
Take the Leonardo Express train-shuttle bus to Termini Station (connects with the subway – lines A and B). It is direct without any intermediate stops. Once at Termini Station, take the A line on the subway and get off at “Flaminio- Piazza del Popolo”.
- FROM FIUMICINO BY TAXI:
There is a Taxi stand at the Arrivals building for Terminals 1 and 3.There are fixed fares (for a route) for a few destinations, which include all supplements: • Central Rome (inside the Aurelian Walls): € 48.00.
2) GIOVANNI BATTISTA PASTINE – CIAMPINO AIRPORT:
he other airport is Giovanni Battista Pastine (Ciampino), where most charter flights arrive: it is about 12 miles from the city and is well connected with the city centre
- FROM CIAMPINO AIRPORT BY TRAIN:
From Ciampino airport there are buses to Ciampino train station, from where there are trains to Roma Termini (subway A and B) every15 minutes. The journey into the city takes 10 minutes.
- TO AND FROM CIAMPINO AIRPORT BY SUBWAY:
From Ciampino airport there are buses to Anagnina Metropolitana (line A): from here take the subway and get off at “Flaminio-Piazza del Popolo”. The buses to Anagnina station leave from the square in front of the airport.
