A city-state in the center of Rome
In addition to being the seat of the Pope, it houses a collection of extraordinary works of art and architecture. In the Vatican Museums there are ancient Roman sculptures such as the famous Laocoon Group, as well as the Renaissance frescoes of the Raphael Rooms and the Sistine Chapel, famous for Michelangelo's frescoes.
